Doug Freeman leads all design, development, manufacturing, IT, and procurement for Patagonia. Doug also oversees advance innovation, as well as social and environmental responsibility, and has held the COO position since April of 2013.

From 2007 to 2013, Doug was VP of Global Supply Chain where he was responsible for the delivery of quality product, shipped on-time to Patagonia’s customers. During this period, Doug initiated and managed strategies that consolidated the company’s factory base, improved product quality, and redesigned supply chain processes and systems.

Doug joined Patagonia in 1985 upon graduating with a B.A. in English from the UC Berkeley. In 1994, he left the company for ten years, holding Director level positions with Polo, The North Face, and Sport Obermeyer.
