Mr. He is the director of the Energy Foundation’s China Sustainable Cities Program, which is aiming at promoting sustainable urban development and urban transportation system to mitigate environmental and energy impacts associated with the brisk urbanization in China.
He has been organizing various projects including new city planning and design, NMT system planning and design, city retrofit, public transit optimization in around ten Chinese cities; and conducting relative studies in supporting national policies and standards development regarding the above city development topics.
Before joined the Energy Foundation, Mr. He worked with Argonne National Laboratory and focused on road transportation energy system analysis, especially on the life cycle analysis of vehicle technologies and fuels.
Dr. He had published more than 20 academic papers and compiled 4 books.
Mr. He obtained his bachelor and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
