J. G. Boswell Company
Jeff Elder is the Vice President of Marketing for the J. G. Boswell Company.
As a vice president of the nation’s largest agricultural producer, Jeff oversees the sales and marketing of the J. G. Boswell Company’s crops; which include pima cotton, tomato paste, cottonseed and safflower oils, and seed by-products. His responsibilities include maintaining agent and customer relations throughout the world, which require extensive overseas travel. He is in his eighteenth year with the Pasadena-based company.
Jeff has been involved with California agriculture for more than 35 years, most of which have been in the cotton business. During this time he has been active in many agricultural organizations and served on the Board of Directors of most of these organizations. He is a past president of the Cotton Warehouse Association of America and past chairman of the Supima organization, a grower owned trade association that is responsible for the promotion of US pima cotton and the licensing of the Supima brand. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation and the incoming chairman.
He attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and continued to study through North Carolina State College of Textiles, the California Agri-Business Seminar, and various trade events and seminars.
