Since the founding of Hangzhou Dragon Well Manor in 2000, Dai has been partnering with farmers on organic agricultural practices through cultivating without the use of fertilizers, pesticides, synthesis feed or chemical additives. With the vision of promoting a healthy-diet culture, Dai incorporates health-preservation theories from a wide arrays of literatures and researches in ingredients selection for the kitchen.
Partnering with thousands of farmers, Dai helped increase their income while exploring innovative ways to inherit traditional agricultural practices, as well as preserving the environment. In 2009, he established Suichang Farming Academy that offers real-life farming experience and lessons on traditional cultures, with the aspiration to explore and share green agricultural practices to the community.
