Pat joined Shangri-La in 2008 and since then, she has been leading the pioneering and effective execution of the Group’s initiatives in Corporate Social Responsibility. She has led the launch of a number of programs that focus on Shangri-La’s social responsibility, education and health initiatives for children, and biodiversity conversation and habitat protection. These initiatives have together enabled Shangri-La to be the only Asian hotel group listed on the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
Pat has almost fifteen years of experience in planning and developing programmes to assist companies in sustainable operations. Before joining Shangri-La, she held a key CSR role at the largest property development company in the Philippines. She was named the International Hotel Investment Forum Young Global Leader in 2014 and honored as one of 100 Most Influential Global Filipinas in 2013. She currently serves as a member of the World Economic Forum Agenda Council for Oceans.
