Mr. Wang Tianyi was admitted as an honor student to Tsinghua University in 1980, graduating with a bachelor\u2019s degree in electronics, a master\u2019s degree in business, and a doctorate degree in economics.<\/p>\n
Mr. Wang joined Yantai University in 1988 and became professor in 1999. He was appointed Dean of the Business School in 1998 and Vice-Chancellor of Yantai University in 1999.<\/p>\n
In 2000, Mr. Wang became the Deputy Mayor of Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. In 2008, he was appointed President of Shandong Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n
After joining Everbright Environment in 2010, and especially after becoming its CEO in 2018, Mr. Wang has led Everbright Environment become the biggest environment company in China, in both revenue and profit, and the largest waste-to-energy company in the world.<\/p>\n
Mr. Wang was honored the \u201cBest CEO in Asia\u201d by Institutional Investor and Corporate Governance Asia in 2018, 2019, and 2020.<\/p>\n
In 2020, Mr. Wang was awarded the 2018-2019 \u201cGreen China Person of the Year\u201d.
