On 1st January 2017, Bonnie Tu was assigned the position of Chairperson of Giant Group.
She joined Giant in 1978 as a General Managing Assistant. Later, she became the Financial and Purchase Manager. Under her careful planning as Financial Director in 1993, Giant successfully became a listed company in 1994. In 1999, she took up the simultaneous role of both Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, singlehandedly managing the operational development and global financial strategy of Giant.
In 2008, Bonnie became the founder of Liv, the first and only female bicycle brand in the world. Liv was founded on the basis of catering products and services specifically to the needs of female cyclists. The Liv mission statement, “Liv Beyond”, allows women to discover their unlimited potential through the physical activity of cycling, and through this, inspire confidence and self-realization. For Giant, the female market plays a crucial role in the future growth of the company.
A Foreign Language graduate of Tamkang University, Bonnie has spent many years bringing innovation to the sport of female cycling in hopes of promoting the visibility of women within the bicycle industry. Furthermore, she strives to provide the most suitable products and services to enhance female riding needs and experiences.
