Marjorie Yang is Chairman of Esquel Group, a leading Hong Kong-based textile and apparel manufacturer with operations throughout the world.

Marjorie has been a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference since 2003. She is Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals, Member of the Commission on Strategic Development as well as the Advisory Committee on Innovation and Technology of the HKSAR Government. In addition, Marjorie is Deputy Chairman of the Seoul International Business Advisory Council.

She is the Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also serves as Member of the various advisory boards at Harvard University, Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, Sun Yat-sen University’s Lingnan College, China Europe International Business School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai College of Economics & Management and an Honorary Member of the Court of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is also one of the founding advisor of Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT.

Marjorie is also on the boards of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and Swire Pacific Limited as Independent Non-executive Director.

Marjorie has a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business.
