Evelyn joined Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong in 2010. In her role as Head of Environmental Affairs, she is responsible for formulating and developing the company’s Sustainable Development Strategy and driving sustainability into the mainstream of the business, so as to ensure the company is well-positioned to face the challenges of a ‘carbon and resource – constrained’ future. She oversees a portfolio of inflight and ground-based programmes and issues, and supports the airline’s outports and other Group companies on sustainability initiatives. She ensures engagement and collaboration across different business functions, as well as with external stakeholders. Her team manages sustainability monitoring, verification and reporting, including for compliance with international legislation, and is currently preparing the airline for entry into an industry-wide global Market Based Measures scheme. Prior to Cathay Pacific, she has had extensive experience on Environmental Impact Assessments, sustainability reporting, environmental due diligence and providing advice to major planning applications in the UK on a wide range of environmental issues.
