David Wei is the Founding Partner and Chairman of Vision Knight Capital Founded in 2011, Vision Knight Capital has an AUM over 17 billion RMB with USD and RMB funds, recent investments include Smoore, Pop Mart, Anker and Guoquan.

David Wei has over 20 years of experience in China investment, management, and operations. Prior to founding Vision Knight Capital, David was the CEO of Alibaba.com. He successfully led the listing of Alibaba Limited on the Hong Kong stock exchange in 2007. Prior to Alibaba.com, from 2000 to 2006, David was the Chief Financial Officer, then the Chief Executive Officer of B&Q China, a leading home improvement retailer in Europe and Asia. Under David's leadership, B&Q China has grown into China's largest home improvement retailer. David has previously held positions as the Head of Investment Banking for Orient Securities Co., then the Corporate Finance Manager at Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PriceWaterHouseCoopers).

He was ranked one of “China’s Best CEOs” by Financial Asia magazine in 2010. Besides, He was the vice president of China Chain Store & Franchise Association and is a Director of PCCW Limited.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business Management from the Shanghai International Studies University, and is also a graduate from the Corporate Finance Program at the London Business School.
